Here is a compelling list of the most expensive cars in the world of 2019.
Cars are a means of transport, used to get people from where they are to where they want to be. But for some, it’s not just about transportation, cars are also a piece of art, cherished even decades after its production and acquisition.
Some of them are very expensive and are manufactured specially for a certain class of people. These cars come at very high prices, but one interesting fact about them is that they are often sold before they get to the public. Brands like the Lamborghini, Bugatti, Aston Martin and of course, Rolls Royce are big names in the industry.
Although most of the cars listed here are wildly out of reach for most, it will definitely give you a sense of pleasure just to look at them. Preparing a list of the most expensive cars can be difficult because most producers often keep the prices of their newest and latest models exclusive to potential buyers alone. And if these cars get to end up in auctions, their prices are most likely to be set way higher than the original. So with that said, here is a list of the 10 most expensive cars in the world 2019.
Most Expensive Cars in The World
10. Bugatti Chiron
Worth: $2.9 MILLION
With a top speed of 268 mph, this 8.0 liter turbo-charged W-16, 1,500-horsepowered engine is the ideal replacement for the veyron model of the Bugatti super cars. Its new and gorgeous body makes the opinion of those who thought the veyron was the last of its kind, laughable.
Though, the Chiron is still not the fastest car in the world, its top speed is yet to be tested as is limited to 268 mph, and it sure redefined what an automobile could do, pushing beyond the boundaries of performance and elegance. Equiped with speed, power and luxury, it is the most advanced version of its predecessor, the veyron.
This supercar is quite high-priced and starts at around $2.8 million. So I ask, how do you follow up a classic, well built mechine? You make an even better one.

8. FERRARI PININFARINA SERGIO
Worth: $3 MILLION
One cool fact about the ferrari Pininfarina Sergio is that, only six models were made, and the owners of all six models made were chosen by the manufacturers themselves, making this one of the rarest of the rare invite-only vehicles. This idea and design of this car is based on the Ferrari 458 spider, making it definitely one of the coolest Ferrari’s cars ever made. The car comes with no roof, side windows or winshield, plus is 330 pounds lighter than the 458 spider.
However, it has the same 4.5 litres F136F V-8 engine as its ancestor, which transmit 562 hp to the rear wheels. The interior of this extraordinary vehicle is renovated and comes with some rather exciting new features like aerodynamic headrests built directly into the roll cage. With an asking price of $3 million, the Ferrari Sergio is not the most expensive cars on our list. But, however, it is one of the most highly coveted vehicles in the world.

It’s definitely no surprise why the Lykan Hypersport is at number 5 on our list. This car is like the luxury version of the Bat-mobile, with customized headlights and LED blades, all made of 240 15-carat diamonds. This car made its feature in the ‘Furious 7’ movie and is used currently by the Abu Dhabi Police for patrol duty.
The Lykan Hypersport is built by W Motors in Lebanon, making it the first ever Arab-built supercar. This car is not just about its awesome looks, its performance is quite impressive too, as it can deliver a 62 in a mere 2.8 seconds, and can reach speeds up to 240 mph with its twin-turbo mid-rear mounted 3.8 liter flat-six boxer which can produce 780 horsepower through the rear wheels, and a 708 pound-feet of torque.

The car was built for a selected number of buyers in the US, Japan, U.K, and the U.A.E. The P1 LM has a number of similar features with the P1 GTR and the legendary Mclaren F1 roadster like the gold plating that surrounds the engine bay with a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 and weighs 132 pounds. Making it 60 kg less than the P1 GTR.
There are only five units of this car currently produced, and all five of them are sold out.
3. LAMBORGHINI VENENO ROADSTER
Worth: $4.5 MILLION
Veneno is a Spanish word for ‘Poison’, and Lamborghini had to put that into detail with their deadly design of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster. Built to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, this vehicle looks entirely like an alien space capsule featured in a sci-fi movie.
This badass can reach a top speed that’ll literally give buyers a run for their money. The only problem is, only 9 units were made. It comes with a 6.5 liter V12 with a seven-speed single clutch ISR automated manual transmission can spin at 8,400 rpm to yield 740 horsepowers and 507 pound-feet of torque. This implies that this car can cover 60 mph at 2.9 seconds. Inspired by the LP700-4 Aventador, the monoque is made of carbon fiber.
Driven by a full All-Wheel-Drive system, this car weighs merely 3,285 pounds. Due to its limited availability, its resell rates are crazy, as some are sold for as high as $11 million. The vehicle was the most expensive cars upon its release, having only three available to customers in its first batch, there was a mad scramble to get hands on the remaining ones left.
2. KOENIGSEGG CCXR TREVITA
Worth: $4.8 MILLION
Koenigseggs’ are my personal favourites when it comes to supercars. Their unique design and performance are extremely overwhelming. They are the most expensive cars in the world, and more interesting to know is that this car, without exaggeration, is
coated with real diamonds. So if you’re wondering, why so much money for the CCXR Trivita? You have your answer, Diamonds!
Packed with a 4.8 liter, dual-supercharged V8 having a total output of 1,004 horsepower and 797 pound-feet of torque, the carbon fibers are coated with a diamond dust-impreganted resin, called the Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave.
Also, the cars come with a host of other features which includes a one-of-its-kind dual carbon rear wing, iconnell exhaust system, airbags, ABS powered carbon ceramic brakes, paddle-shift, infotainment system, chronometer instrument cluster, tires monitoring systems along with a hydraulic system.
The initial production plan for this car was three, but due to the difficulty and time-consuming of the carbon fiber used to produce it, it was later reduced to two.
1. SWEPTAIL BY ROLLS ROYCE
Worth: $13 MILLION
Before you go gasping at the price of this heavy luxurious masterpiece, do note that this car was made on the recommendations of a particular customer, one the company has refused to disclose the identity. So, it’s off the markets. But if your wallet is fat enough maybe, to pay for a $13 million dollar car, then Rolls-Royce will build you another.
The Sweptail is the most luxurious Roll-Royce car ever made by the company. Everything about this particular exclusive car is custom made, built for over four years from start to finish, this car can only seat two people. I guess that’s what they mean by being ‘exclusive’.
This car has a rather 1920s based design and looks like a yacht from behind. It sits at number 1 place in the list of the most expensive cars in the world.
